The FreeFalcon Team has decided to issue you an upgrade for FF5.0. Below I have listed some of the major improvements contained within this upgrade, please read the change log. This new installer will patch FF5.0 to the new version, FF5.3. FF5.3's main purpose is to supply you with our latest work in a timely fashion and to upgrade your old, tired, and no longer functioning Campaigns. The Campaigns are still a work in progress, but you will find that they are 80% or better complete. We are continuing to polish these, especially Tiger Spirit and Iron Fortress. Rolling Fire is by far the most complete and you will notice immediately that these Campaigns are now working, offer plenty of action, and will be something you will want to spend time playing. It is time to get out of the TE world and return to the front lines.
The Campaigns work, are smart, have been upgraded and run to completion, every time. If you are a good pilot and obtain positive results for your side, Red or Blue, you will effect the out come. You will clearly see an intense ground war unfolding beneath you. Armored units battle it out, Artillery batteries rain steel on enemy units, the SAM's and MANPAD's are deadly and will require you to be smart, agile and plan carefully your flight and delivery. Attack Helicopter's engage enemy ground units, Naval units defend themselves, Resupply works and Sweep/Escort missions protect your package. You will witness a planned assault, the defense of positions, the arrival of additional units and an offensive counter strike. The Team has made a sincere effort to maintain the original designers core plan, but created a new Order of Battle set in 2005 utilizing our current model and weapons data base. Free Falcon contains excellent talent but I have to give a special thanks to the small group we currently have in Campaign Development. It is rare that we get such a talented and dedicated group together and you will see the results of their work immediately. Special thanks to these guys: Cptmtge, demer, derStef, Ram22, Tom, and toonces. Great job gentlemen! There are 2 additional members that deserve mention as well. Thanks to Khronik for his new sophisticated patch generator. His work makes it possible to have this complex upgrade, in a very small package. Also thanks to Aragorn, his CAMPAIGN.pdf is a must read and I'm glad he has returned to 'deving Falcon. Thanks also to the gentlemen who have donated space and bandwidth for this download. You guys always come through for us and I greatly appreciate it. Our current plans are to finish the work remaining on the existing Campaigns and to release them in FF5.5. We are also working on completing the Taiwan Theater, the Panama Theater and ITO2. The FF Development Team will be offering development advice in the future, to other Theater Development Groups, who utilize our data base. The data base remains locked and you should not attempt to edit it. LODEditor, F4Browse and TacEdit do NOT work. Change log: Improved sound files.
